The Petite Standard, a brand of Floe System LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit or make a purchase from thepetitestandard.co (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Contact information. Your email address, which you provide when you join our email list or place an order. Our email is managed through Klaviyo.
  • Order and payment information. Your name, shipping address, billing address, order details, and the payment method you use. Payments are processed by Shopify Payments, which handles our card payments and the Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay wallets. We do not store your full card number; the payment provider handles that.
  • Browsing behavior on our Site. Pages and products you view and how you move through the Site, collected through Klaviyo, so we can understand what our customers are looking for and improve the experience.
  • Product reviews. If you leave a review, we collect the content of that review, including a height field, through our reviews provider (Judge.me). Height helps other petite shoppers judge fit.
  • Returns information. If you start a return or exchange, we collect the details needed to process it through Shopify's native returns.
  • Advertising and analytics information. We use the Meta Pixel, which collects information about your activity on our Site to help us measure and deliver advertising. This information may be used by Meta across other sites and services.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process and fulfill your orders and send you order and shipping updates.
  • Process returns, exchanges, and refunds.
  • Send you marketing emails about our products, if you have joined our list. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
  • Understand how visitors use our Site so we can improve it.
  • Measure and deliver advertising.
  • Protect against fraud and keep our Site secure.
  • Comply with our legal obligations.

How we share your information

We never receive money in exchange for your personal information. However, some of the advertising and analytics tools we use, including the Meta Pixel, may be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under California law, even when no money changes hands. Your choices are described in the California section below. We share your personal information only as follows:

  • Service providers who run our store. We share information with the providers that power our operations, including Shopify (our store platform and payments), Klaviyo (email and on-site behavior), Judge.me (reviews), Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay (wallets processed through Shopify Payments), and FedEx (shipping). They may use it only to provide their service to us.
  • Advertising partners. Through the Meta Pixel, information about your activity on our Site is shared with Meta for advertising measurement and delivery. See the California section below.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, our customers, or the public.

Cookies and tracking technologies

Our Site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the store working, remember your cart, understand how the Site is used, and support advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though turning some off may affect how the Site works.

Do Not Track. Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is not yet a common industry standard for responding to these signals, our Site does not currently respond to them.

Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under California privacy law, including the right to know what personal information we collect, to request a copy, correction, or deletion of it, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. Because we use advertising tools like the Meta Pixel, some of your information may be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" under California law, even when no money changes hands.

You can opt out at any time using the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in the footer of our Site. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal automatically. To make any other request, email us at hello@thepetitestandard.co with "California privacy request" in the subject line, and we will honor it. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our products and services, meet our legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Security

We use reasonable measures, and rely on the security of our providers such as Shopify, to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

Our Site is meant for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top, and material changes will be posted on this page.
